नमस्ते (Namaste)!
The volunteers of Samskrita Bharati thank each one of you for your love and devotion to Sanskrit.
In North Carolina, we have two sthAnams (centers) of Samskrita Bharati, RTP( Cary-Morrisville) and Charlotte.
RTP has more than 250 Samskritam families and growing! There are 100Kids attending classes and another 100 adults currently enrolled in multiple Samskritam classes at elementary to advanced proficiency. The Kendram had proudly hosted the National Samskrita Bharati Sanchalaka Sammelana in 2018 with its strong and dedicated Volunteer force. The Center's volunteers are active contributors at National Level besides a strong local presence.
In Charlotte, we are conducing samskrita kendram classes where 35 kids attend classes to learn to speak, read and write in Samskritam. In a separate class, 30 parents of these kids are also learning samskritam. There are ten families with high school kids attending the Samskritam as a Foreign Language (SAFL). There are another 25 adults learning in evening classes. Charlotte has grown from a few knowing Samskritam to hundreds of people able to speak in samskritam. We have more than 40 samskritam gruhams where at least two people know samskritam.
At this time of the year, we request you to continue your support by making a monetary contribution towards Samskrita Bharati USA. We are planning to raise $5000 from NC state and would request you to contribute generously for the cause of Sanskrit.
धन्यवादाः (dhanyavAdAH),

The long tradition of an ancient and enduring civilization has to be preserved and continuously re-influenced for it to be passed on to future generations. Samskritam is a legacy that embodies knowledge, culture and thus, the very basis of much that we speak, value and pride. We, at Samskrita Bharati, aspire to perpetuate this legacy in the Indian diaspora across the United States by propagating Samskritam as a spoken language.
With your generous support, Samskrita Bharati has been able to initiate significant programs to promote Samskritam among people of all ages. Every individual support and contribution will fuel the many aspirations of Samskrita Bharati, and in the grand scheme strengthen and prosper Samskritam. Like thin individual strands spiraled together to braid a strong rope, your contribution, however small or big, will help us draw a robust program to spread and promote Samskritam.
We urge you to be a part of a renaissance to popularize Samskritam now and preserve it for generations to follow, present and future.
Please take a moment to read the full samājanidhi patram for 2020 from Shri. Natesa Janikaraman, President, Samskrita Bharati USA.
Twenty five years of persistent efforts by our volunteers and well-wishers have resulted in thousands of people in the US learning Samskritam. Majority of them have continued their learning and are now able to converse in Samskritam. This has provided a firm base of Samskritam speakers and teachers whose dedicated efforts have helped our movement grow organically in 35 metropolitan areas across the country. Additionally, this has helped us launch programs specifically designed for our future generations - children and young adults. 'Samskrita-kendram' is one such program where families come together as a community with children, their parents and other adults studying Samskritam in their respective classes. The burgeoning interest in children’s classes reassures us with regard to fulfilling our mission of making Samskritam an everyday spoken language.
The “Samskritam As a Foreign Language (SAFL)” program for young adults in grades 8-12 has also seen consistent growth over the years with an enrollment of 420 students in the current academic year. Similarly, our “Samskritam for Youth” program provides opportunities for SAFL Alumni and other youth to continue learning Samskritam that will help them retain their ties with our Samskriti. All these planned efforts are helping us nurture Samskritam enthusiasts and scholars that will assume leadership roles in the coming decades.
Samskrita Bharati currently has 35 chapters in the USA, and is poised for further growth with more than 400 dedicated volunteers. Nearly 300 of these volunteers regularly teach weekly classes. More than 500 families use Samskritam as one of the languages for communication at home. Family camps, youth camps, and promotional programs of various kinds across the country continue to attract new attendees as well as those who have been learning Samskritam.
Samskrita Bharati conducts its programs and activities primarily with generous financial support from well-wishers like you. Your contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
