Registration for Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) System High School Credit Class for the academic year 2022-23
You are registering for the weekly Samskritam course for High School elective credit conducted by Samskrita Bharati USA for students of the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) system of the state of Maryland. Six levels of classes are being offered: SANSKRIT 1A/1B, SANSKRIT 2A/2B, SANSKRIT 3A/3B, SANSKRIT 4A/4B, SANSKRIT 5A/5B, & SANSKRIT 6A/6B. Samskrita Bharati is approved on an bi-annual basis for providing high school credit in the MCPS system. Currently, we are approved until the end of the next academic year.

Class Day / Timing
Classes will be held on Sundays starting from August 27th, 2022 to June 18th, 2023. Please check our Calendar for full details. The class timing and location are: Sundays 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm (Registration closes on September 12th, 2022, or earlier if our capacity is reached).
Classes are usually conducted at : Robert Frost Middle School 9201 Scott Dr, Rockville MD 20850. However, due to the unpredictable nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, classes may be conducted online if it is deemed unsafe for in-person classes
Registration by Age
While students in 8th grade and above from any school system can register for this class, only students enrolled in 9th to 12th grade in one of the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) are currently eligible for the elective credit*. Enrollment does not entitle you to the elective credit. Successful completion of the course is required for earning the elective credit.

Fees / Early Bird Discount
The fee for the course is $500** and should be paid through the payment link during registration. Other forms of payment such as checks are inconvenient under the current circumstances, but if there is a problem in using the payment link, please contact us. Students already registered in the Sanskrit As Foreign Language (SAFL) program are exempt from this fee. Study material (textbook/workbook) will be provided on the first day of the class and is covered by the fee. Reference materials like dictionaries, audio, video, etc can be purchased as necessary from the Samskrita Bharati bookstore online or locally (if available). **Please check the FAQ for refund policy.
